China's iron ore imports will adhere to the negotiation and coordination mechanism.On the 8th,Zhu Jimin,a deputy to the National People's Congress and the new chairman of the China Iron and Steel Industry Association,said that in the future,China's iron ore import price will continue to be negotiated.

According to Zhu Jimin,China's dependence on foreign iron ore reached 62.5%last year.Zhu Jimin said that due to the rise in international iron ore prices,steel prices are likely to continue to rise.

How to get rid of the iron ore dilemma?Zhu Jimin said that on the one hand,we should reduce our dependence on iron ore,and on the other hand,implement quantitative consumption to improve the grade and performance of steel materials."The performance of steel grades is generally raised by two to three grades,and steel consumption will be reduced by more than 10%."Zhu Jimin said that reducing consumption is the focus of the country's transformation of economic mode.

In 2010,the Changxie Mine,which was discussed once a year,was abandoned by the three giants and replaced by the quarterly mine,which was discussed once a quarter.This year,the negotiations have also been recognized by the China Steel Association as suspended.Deng Qilin,general manager of WISCO who just left the post of president of China Iron and Steel Association,said on March 7:"Since 2009,the three giants have been in charge,and the price of Changxie Mine has no longer been mentioned."
